    The editors of this online resource have many institutions and individuals to thank for their support. At the top of this list must be the Leverhulme Trust which made possible both the research on the Scottish Privy Council and the creation of this website. The editors must also thank their respective institutions, the universities of Stirling and Dundee, for administrative, computing and environmental support and personal encouragement. The National Records of Scotland [NRS] not only made the manuscript records of the Privy Council available to the research team, even during certain phases of the pandemic when public access was limited, but also were very supportive in the lengthy process of acquiring research funding in the first place.
