The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, haveing heard the list of the severall Jurisdictiones of this Kingdom, given in to them by Sir Patrick Hume his majesties Solicitor, Read in their presence, They heirby appoint his majesties Solicitor, To make Furder Enquiry anent the Severall Jurisdictiones within this Kingdom and who possess the same whither qualified or not qualified persons and to Report to the Councill.

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill nominates and appoints The Earle of Melvill Lord President of privy Councill, The Earles of Argyle and Mar, To meet and Speak with the Earle of Niths-dale who is lately come from France, And To make their Report to the Councill, what they Find in the said Earles deportment, while in France or since he came therefrom, And Recomends to them to meet to morrow att Ten in the forenoon, and declares any Two of them to be a Sufficient quorum.

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Recomends To the Earle of Melvill, Lord President of privy Councill, The Earles of Argyle and Cassills, The Lords Boyle, President of Session and Advocate and Mr Fra: Montgomry To Consider the Memorandum for the Taxmen of the pole, Read First upon the Sixth of July Jaj vic nynty nyne and now Read this day. And Appoints the honorable persons forsaids To be a Committee for considering what clauses or articles in the said memorandum may be Instantly discusst and what clauses or articles thereof, are to be Reserved till further consideration, and till persons concerned therein, be heard thereon, And Recomends to this Committee To meet to morrow at Ten in the forenoon And declares any Two of them, The Lord Advocate Being always one of the Two to be a Sufficient quorum, And To make their Report to the Councill with their Conveniency.

My Lord Thesaurer Deput haveing acquainted the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill That one […] Jaffray who is a printer hes printed a Book containing some Reflectiones and none-truths against the Scots plantations in Darien, The saids Lords doe heirby ordain the said […] Jaffray printer to be cited By the macers of Councill, To appear before the saids Lords upon Twesday the First of August next, To answer for his printing the said Reflectious Pamphlet which contains non-truths therin, And ordains the saids Macers To Intimate to the said […] Jaffray printer and haill other printers within the Town of Edinburgh The act of Councill dated the Twenty day of Aprile Jaj vic nynty seven years. Wherby all printers are discharged to print or Reprint any pamphlets Books etc Relating to the Government or of publict Concern untill the same be Revised By the Earles of Lauderdale and Annandale The Lords Advocate and Enstruther, or ane or other of them whom the Councill authorizes for that Effect, With Certification their goods shall be confiscat and themselves banished the Kingdom, And ordaines the saids Macers To deliver in to the Clerks of Councill subscrived Executiones of the above-warnings or Intimationes to be made be them as they will be answerable.
