Order to the magistrats of Edinburgh to Ring the bells

Her Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Ordaine the Magistrats of Edinburgh to cause the Bells of the toune to be rung from four to eight a Cloack at night as ane expression of publict Joy for the Success of the forces of her Majesties allies under the Command of Prince Lowis of Baden against the French wherof his Grace and their Lordships have received information by her Majesties order.

The Marques of Annandale and Lord Inverury qualifie themselves

The Marques of Annandale Lord president of privy Councill and the Lord Innerury Did qualifie themselves to her Majestie as of her Majesties privy Councill by Swearing the oath of alledgance and Subscryveing the same with the assurance, and the Lord Chancelor did tender to their Lordships the oath de fideli and their Lordships did take their place at the board Accordingly
