Warrant

Warand for Souldiers to attend the Commissioners of Justiciary at Dunblaine

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Recommend to the Earle of Marr Governour of the Castle of Stirling and in his absence Gives order and warrand to the nixt Commanding officer To Send2 Twenty men duely Commanded to Dumblaine and ther to attend the Commissioners of Justiciary for the Highladns dureing their sitting in that place And to execute what orders the said Commissioners Shall emitt.

Procedure

Additionall Committie for pressed men

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby add to the former Committie appointed for hearing and determinating all debates anent pressed men and Souldiers of the date the Eightein of March Jaj viic and one years The Earle of Crafurd, Lord Boyle Lord Justice Clerk and Laird of Meggins, And Recommends to the Said Committie to meet the morrow at ten in the forenoon Continueing their quorum as formerly And appoints the Macers of Councill to advertise the whole members of the Said Committie That are upon the place to be present at that time; And Recommends to the Lord Advocat to give orders to the keepers of the Tolbooths of Edinburgh Cannogat and Leith That the whole pressed men therin be presented before the Said Committie at the hour forsaid And in the mean time Ordaines the saids Macers to advertise Collonell Rew That he cause present before the said Committie the person of Livetenent […] Fairly And that the Said Livt be ordained to produce before the said Committie the persones of Mathew Dickie John Thomsone John Wyllie and Robert Ross pressed out of the Earle of Dundonalds Lands Contrary to the late act of parliament That he may answer to the said Committie for what he has done wrongeously theranent.
