Act superceeding a detatched partie to goe to the Castle of Edinburgh

The Lords of his Majesties privie Counsell Doe heirby superceed the sending of any Detatched party from any of the regiments of his majesties standing forces to reinforce the garrisone in the Castle of Edinburgh untill the tyme of the Encamping of the forces for the present year be elapsed and passed over

Order

Anent Encamping the forces

Sir Thomas Livingstoune etc Acquanted the Lords of his Majesties privie Counsell that his Majesties forces for this Kingdome are to Encamp for this summer And that it is resolved the Encampment shall be neigh the toune of Dunse at the fittest place And that ther will be some particulars necessary for the armies use which will requyre expenses The saids Lords doe heirby approve of the Encamping of the forces for this summer at any place the said Sir Thomas Livingstoune shall think fitt neigh to the toune of Dunse. And Recommends to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury to Consider ane note of particulars of Incident expences to be given in to their Lordships by the said Sir Thomas Livingstoun necessarie for the armys use In order to their Encampment And to Cause payment be made to Sir Thomas or such as he shall appoint of such soumes as they shall find necessary for furnishing the particulars in Sir Thomas his note To be Imployed for the use of the army
