Att Edinburgh the fyfth of January one Thousand seven Hundereth and four years

Reprive Marion Govan

The Lords of her Majesties privie Councill Haveing Considered the Representation Made to them By the Lord Advocat That Marion Govan prisoner in the Tolbuith of Edinburgh And appointed to be Execute this day By sentence of the Lords of Justiciary hade Emitted a large Confession of hainous Crimes and Enormous immoralitie’s and wa’s under great Conviction for the same, For which the Ministers who waitted upon her hade Earnestly inlearrnded that some longer time might be allowed her to prepair for death Thairfor The Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Reprive The said Marion Govan untill Tuesday the Eleventh instant of this January Inclusive And Dischairges the Magistrats of Edinburgh To put the said sentence in Execution untill Wedensday nixt Upon which day The said Lords Ordaine The Magistrats of Edinburgh To put the sentence of Death pronunced againest the said Marrion Govan By the Lords of Justiciary in manner therin mentioned to due Execution Sic Subscribitur Lauderdale J:P:D:; Loudoun Glasgow Hew Dalrymple James Murray Robert Menzie Campbell W Anstruther A Hope Robert Steuart
