Warrand to the Register and Lyon for placeing the Knight Barrons before the Barrons

His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Ordaines the Lord Register and Lord Lyon in makeing up the rolls of Parliament and calling the members for ryding the Same to place Knight Barronet before any Gentlmen whatsomever who are only Barrons, and to give them the precedencie in calling the saids rolls and ryding the parliament if they requyre the Same.

Anent the petition given in to her Majesties high Commissioner and2 the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill by Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat Shewing That wher her Majestie by her Commission of the date the Twentie Nynth day of January Last was pleased to continue the petitioner in the exercise of the place and office of her advocat in maner therin mentioned Which Commission is appointed to pass under her Majesties great Seall; But Because it does not bear the usuall warrand to the director of the Chancelary and his deputes to wryt the Same and to the Chancelor for appending the seall therto per Saltum. And Therfore Supplicating the saids Lords to the effect aftermentioned, His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner and Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Haveing Considered the above petition given in to them by Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat and the Samen being Read in their presence His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill hereby Grants warrand to the director of the Chancelary and his deputes for wryting the Commission granted by her majestie to the petitioner Continueing him her Majesties advocat And to the keeper of the great Seall and his deputes for appending the Samen therto per Saltum without passing any other register or Seall.
