Warrant

Warrant For Confiening Mary Morison within the Town of Edinburgh

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby declare Mary Morison Spouse to Francis Duncan skipper at Greenock who is presently Confined in her Chamber at Edinburgh To be at her full Liberty within the Town of Edinburgh And Confines her within the said Town of Edinburgh The said Francis Duncan her husband First giveing Bond and finding sufficient Caution acted in the Books of his majesties privy Councill. That the said Mary Morison shall Keep the said Confinement. And That he shall produce her Before the Lords of his majesties privy Councill or the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Justiciary at any tyme to which she shall be cited att or before the Fifteenth day of november next to Come or sooner if she shall be Required under the penalty of Ten Thousand pounds Scots And Recommends to Sir James Stewart his Majesties Advocate To Intent and Insist in a process for witchcraft before the saids Lords Commissioner of his majesties Justiciary against the said Mary Morison Betwixt and the said Fifteenth day of November next to come.

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby give order and warrant to the Clerks of privy Councill To deliver up the Earle of Marischall and the Earle of Aboyne The Bands granted be the saids Two Earles and their Cautioners for their peaceable Behaviour and appearance when called for. For which This shall be to all Concerned a sufficient warrant and Exoneration.
