The Lords of her Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Repryve George and Lauchlane Rattrayes Sentenced to death for the crymes of Charmeing, Sorcery and witchcraft from the last wednesday of September instant to the first thursday of November nixt to come Inclusive, And discharges the said sentence of death to be putt in execution against them till the first Fryday of the said moneth of November nixt, and appoynts and ordains the Magistrats of Inverness to see and cause the sentence of death pronounced against the saids George and Lauchlane Rattrayes by the Commissioners appoynted for their tryall, be putt in execution against them, the said first Fryday of November nixt at the same place and in the same maner mentioned in the said Sentence, Sic Subscribitur Montrose P. Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain, France and Irland defender of the faith To our Lyon King att armes, and his Brethren Heraulds, Meacers of our privie Councell, Pursevants and messengers att armes our Shirreffs in that pairt Conjunctllie and Severallie Speciallie constitut Greeting, Wheras by our letter to yow of the twelfth of August Last, wee did order the Adjurnement of our Current parliament to the nynteinth day of September instant, And wer firmely resolved it Should meet on the said day, But wee Judgeing it convenient that our parliament Should be further Adjurned for a few days, And that the members of our said parliament may not be putt to the trouble and Charges of meeting upon the said nynteinth day of September instant; Therfor wee with advyce of the Lords of our Privie Councell have Adjurned and heirby Adjurnes our Said Current parliament from the said nynteinth day of September instant, To the third day of october nixt to Come, Requyreing heirby all the members therof to attend that day att Edinburgh in the usuall way, and wnder the accustomed Certifications by law appoynted, Our Will is Heirfore and wee requyre yow Strictly and Comand that in continent thir our Letters Seen ye pass to the mercat Cross of Edinburgh, and to the mercat Crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall shyres and Steuartries within this our antient Kingdome, And ther in our name and authoritie Make publict Intimation that our Said parliament Is adjurned to the said third day of October nixt to come, And ordaines these presents to be published and printed: Given under our Signet att Edinburgh the Sixth day of September, And of our reign the fyfth year Jaj vijc and Six years, Sic Subscribitur Montrose P. Right trustie and right well beloved Cousine and Councellor, Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trustie and well beloved Councellors, and trustie and well beloved Councellors, Wee greet yow well, Wheras by our Letter to yow of the twelfth day of August instant, Wee did order the Adjurnement of our Current parliament till the nynteinth day of September insueing, and we firmely resolved it Should meet on the said day: But the multiplicite of Important affairs haveing hindered ws hitherto from dispatching our Commissioner; wherby it is yet2 necessary that our said parliament Should be yet further adjurned for a Short tyme; It is therfor our will and pleasure, and wee doe heirby authorise and requyre yow, To issue forth a proclamation adjurneing out said Current parliament from the said nynteinth day of September nixt to the third day of october nixt And ordering all the members therof to attend that day att Edinburgh in the usuall way and upon the accustomed certifications, For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant; And so wee bid yow heartily farwell.
