The Earle of Roxburgh took the oath of alleadgence As one of the secretaries of state for this Kingdome

Oath of Alleadgeance sworn And the samen with the Assureance signed By John Earle of Roxburgh As one of the secretaries of state for this Kingdome Att same James’s the sixteen day of October Last by past. In presence of the Earle of Seafeild Lord Chancellor, Being Read in Councill Was appointed to be recorded and put up amongst oaths.

Sir Patrick Johnstoun receaved a Councellor

Sir Patrick Johnstoun Lord provest of Edinburgh being this day receaved and admitted a privie Councellor, Did qualifie himselfe to her Majestie By swearing the oath of Alleadgeance and subscriving the same with the assureance: And the Lord president Did tender to him the oath De fideli And thereafter he took his place at the board accordingly.
