Act

Act allowing the Commissioners of Justiciary for the South district yet to qualifie themselves

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered ane act and Recommendation of the Commission of the Highland Justiciary of the South district and the Commission for the said Justiciary They hereby Allow the Commissioners of the said justiciary who have not qualified themselves according to Law yet to meet and qualifie themselves as Commissioners of Justiciary in the termes of the said Commissioners of Justiciary in the termes of the said Commission and that betwixt and the tenth of March nixt with Certification to the saids Commissioners if they doe not meet and qualifie themselves betwixt and that time They shall be excluded from the said Commission. And they declared to be no Commissioners of Justiciary in time comeing nor to have power to meet and act with them.

Committie anent Allaster More

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Nominat and appoint Lords, Advocat Justice Clerk Aberurchill, Crossrig, Rankeillor and Phesdoe, and the Laird of Meggins to be a Committie to Consider the process at the instance of Alexander Lessly procurator Fiscall to the Commission for the Northern district against Allaster More Mcdonald, And Recommends to them to make their report to the Councill this day eight dayes and allowes the procurator for Allaster More to See the process in the Clerks of Councills hands in the mean time And Declares any thrie of the said Committie to be a Sufficient quorum.

The Councill Nominats and appoints the Marques of Annandale The Earle of Leven, Lord advocat, Lord Thesaurer depute and Lord Aberurchill to be a Committie to enquyre and take tryall how, by whom and after what maner The Earle of Seaforth was taken out of this kingdom And Ordaines the former procedur of Councill anent the said Earle to be Laid before the Committie, And Recommends to them to make report to the Councill against Thursday nixt and Declares any thrie of them to be a quorum

The Councill Nominats and appoints the Marques of Annandale The Earle of Leven, Lord advocat, Lord Thesaurer depute and Lord Aberurchill to be a Committie to enquyre and take tryall how, by whom and after what maner The Earle of Seaforth was taken out of this kingdom And Ordaines the former procedur of Councill anent the said Earle to be Laid before the Committie, And Recommends to them to make report to the Councill against Thursday nixt and Declares any thrie of them to be a quorum
