Procedure
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Recommend to the Committie anent the Highland Commission to which ther are two added this day to meett the morow at nyne in the forenoon and to administrat the oath of alledgance assurance and association to Captain Alexander Campbell in Collonell Fergusones regiment And the Like to Captain William Grant in Collonell Rows Regiment In order to the saids two Captains their qualificationes and being prepaired to accept of their offices as Captaines of the two Companies in the highlands Conforme to his Majesties Letter to the Councill of the date the Twentie fourth of June Last wherby they are appointed.

Procedure
The Councill Doe Recommend to the Committie appointed upon the petition given in for Alexander Haill of Munkrig and anent robbers and horss Steallers to Consider a testificat to be produced in his favors by his Majesties advocat and to grant the Same in Such termes as they shall think fitt and appoints the Committie to meet the morrow at ten in the forenoon and Continues the quorum as formerly.

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby appoint their macers to warn the Committie appointed for reviseing the Highland Commission Viz The Earle of Marr, Lord Boyle, Lords Aberurchill and Phesdoe and the Laird of Grant to meet the morrow at nyne in the forenoon; And the saids Lords have added and hereby adds the Earle of Northesk and the Viscount of Seafeild principall Secretarie of State to be upon the forsaid Committie and Continues the quorum of the said Committie to be any two of them as formerly

Warrant
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Conforme to his majesties Letter direct to them of the date the Fifth day of June Jaj viic and one years Doe hereby Grant warrand to and authorizes the officers of his Majesties too Battalians of foot Commanded by the Earle of Orkney to beat drums for Levieing of men within the city of Edinburgh or any other place within this kingdome, For recruiteing the saids too Battallions And allowes them to have the use of the prisons in any city within this Kingdome for detaineing and keeping their recruits defecters or others who shall engadge with them untill they shall eb transported for Holland, And grants warrand to the saids officers To Seize upon take and apprehend all deserters from the saids two Battallions And ordaines all Magistrats and others to give their concurrance to the Saids officers for making up their recruits and Secureing their defecters and others who shall willingly engadge with them The saids officers allwayes mantaineing their saids recruits deserters and others who engadge with them upon their own proper Charges and expensses And prohibites and Discharges any disorders or abuses to be Committed by the saids officers in takeing up their recruits or seizeing their deserters or takeing on Souldiers.

Letter from the King to the Councill acquainting them That his Majesties too Battalions of foot Commanded by the Earle of Orkney are to be transported from Ireland to Holland and declareing his majesties will and pleasure; That upon application to be made by the officers of the saids Regiments The Councill give encouradgment and assistance by allowing them to beat drums and takeing such other methods for Levieing men as are usueall Giveing allwayes Speciall orders Read and ordered to be Recorded Wherof the tenor followes.

Right Trustie and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor; Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and well beloved Cousin and Councillors, Right trustie and weell beloved Councellors and trustie and well beloved Councillors Wee Greet yow weell Wheras wee have thought fitt for our service to order our two Battalions of foott Commanded by the Earle of Orkney to be transported from Ireland to Holland; And their being a Considerable number of men wanted for Compleating the saids Battallions; And some officers being to repair to that our kingdome for raiseing these men. It is our will and pleasure; That upon their application yow give them all due encouradgment and assistance Allowing them to beatt drums and take such other methods of Levieing men as are usuall and legall in such occasiones Giveing allwayes Speciall orders for preventing all Disorders and abuses in makeing the saids Levies, so wee bid yow heartily farewell Given at our Court at Kensingtoune the 5th day of June 170i and of our rigne the 13th year By his Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Carmicheall.
