Warrant to Captain Cleilland to Send with the Regiments aboard his Friggotts

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered That paragraph of her Majesties letter anent the two Regiments aboard of the Friggotts They hereby give order and warrant to Captain William Cleilland Commander of the saids Friggots Lying in the Road of Leith; To Saile as soon as conveniently Wind and weather Serveing Conforme to his former orders from the Admirall of England; And the Saids Lords Ordaines Major Generall George Ramsay Commander in Cheiff of her Majesties forces within this kingdome to be acquainted therwith That he may give the necessary orders for Imbarqueing what of the saids two regiments and recruits are not already Shipped aboard of the saids Friggotts Conforme to the first orders of Councill given to him theranent.

Right Trusty and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor; Right trusty and entirely beloved Cousins and Councillors; Right trusty and right well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors; Right trusty and well beloved Councillors, and trusty and well beloved Councillors, Wee Greet yow well, Your Letter to Us gives Us a very full and Satisfactory account of all your proceedings in prosecution of the orders wee sent yow, And wee returne yow our hearty thanks for the assurance yow give Us of your Loyaltie and fidelity, In which Wee doe Repose intire trust and confidence, And wee expect That yow will continue to be carefull in this Juncture of what concernes the peace and Securitie of that our ancient Kingdome, Wee are very Sensible of the great Loss that these kingdomes have Sustained by the Death of our Royall brother King William of Blessed Memory; Who under God was their Delyverer from popery and Arbitrary power; And it is very acceptable to us; That yow express your Sevels, With so great duty and tender affection towards his Memory; And wee Shall ever think that those who have been faithfull to him will continue to be So to Us Being2 That it is our Royall resolution and firme intention to mantaine the protestant intrest; And to Govern our people according to their Lawes; And to protect them in all their concernes Civill and Ecclessiastick.
Wee Think it necessary That all persones in publict Trust both Civill and Military qualifie themselves by takeing the Oathes of alledgance and assurance as yow and the other Lords of our privy Councill have already done. And wee Leave the time for their doeing of it to your appointment.
Wee have Ordered our Lord high Admirall of England to appoint the Commander of our Friggotts who have on board the Regiments Commanded by Collonell Row and Collonell Ferguson to obey your orders either for debarqueing or Saileing with them to Holland Conforme to their former orders, But unless yow find it absolutely necessary that they continue in Scotland, Wee expect that yow will not detaine them, Seing they are a part of these troops Wee designed for the assistance of our Allies abroad; Bot wee Impower yow to act in this as yow think may most Conduce for our Service Wee have by our Letter of this date Signified our intentiones that the parliament Shall meet And Wee are Resolved as soon as possible to take the affairs of that our Kingdome under our Consideration and to dispatch our right trusty and intirely beloved Cousine and Councillor James Duke of Queensbery (3who wee intend Shall represent our Royall person as our Commissioner, And all our other Servants who are here for that kingdome, And therfore Wee think it necessary that yow intimat to all the Lords of our privy Councill and other Servants to attend our Service their, So Recommending these things to yow and what else may be necessary for the Support of our Government Wee bid yow heartily farewell. Letter from the Queen to the Councill for adjourning the parliament Being Read was ordered to be recorded and ordained their Clerks to prepair a proclamation in the termes therof again the nixt Sederunt off the Which Letter the tenor followes.

Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors; Right trusty and well beloved Councillors; And trusty and well beloved Councillors Wee Greet yow well Wheras Wee have hade under our Consideration the 17th act of the 6th Session of our Current parliament Wherby it is provided; That in caice the parliament Should be under Adjournment at the time of the death of his late Majestie of blessed Memory That the Same Shall not be disolved by his death; But meett within twenty dayes therafter and continue to Sitt And act for Six moneths; Unless sooner adjourned or disolved by the nixt Immediat Successor according to the declaration of the Estates dated the Eleventh of Aprill 1689 And the undoubted right to the Imperiall Crown of that our Ancient kingdom being now conforme to the Said Declaration of Estates Devolved upon Us, And wee haveing Likewayes assumed the Exercise of the Regall power, are fully Resolved that our said parliament Shall meett as Soon as is possible, being that wee repose intire trust and confidence in their Loyaltie to Us; And of their Zeall and affection to the present Constitution of the Government of which they have given So large and frequent proofs in the reigne of our deceast Royall brother.
