Procedure

Approbatione of sending Preist Fairfoul aboard

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill doe hereby approve of the warrand given by the Earle of Southerland Earle of Leven Lord Strathnaver Lord Advocat and Lord Fountonhall To the magistrats of Edinburgh To send aboard Mr. David Fairfoulle with the present recruits upon Cautione first to be found in the Councill books That he shall goe aboard with the same albeit the ordor did not bear that Cautione should be found never to returne as was formerlie appoynted by the Councill

Warrant

Warand for appending the Privie seall to the Marques of Twedalles Commissiones etc

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill considering that the warrand under his majesties hand for Expeeding a Commissione to John Marqueis of Tweddale Lord Chancellor to be his majesties high Commissioner and to represent his sacred persone in the ensueing fyfth sessione of this Currant parliament does want ane usuall Clause in the end ordaining the same to pass the privy seall as well as the great seall in respect the said Lord Chancellor is himself keeper of the great seall For supplying whereof The said Lords doe hereby authorize and appoynt the said privie seall and his deputs to append the privie seall to the foresaid Commissione after the samine is past the Chancellarie and great seall for doeing whereof thir presents shall be a sufficient warrand
