Warrand for a Detachment of 40 foot and 20 Dragouns to be sent to the Western Coasts to assist Mr Patrick Ogilvie

The Lords of Her Majesties Privie Councill, Haveing receaved information, That the forces formerly appointed for assisting Captain Patrick Ogilvie in hindering the importation of Irish victwall horse and other Cattle from Ireland, were withdrawen Doe hereby Recommend and give order and warrant, To Livetennent Generall George Ramsay Commander in Cheiff of Her Majesties forces within this Kingdome presently to give order and appoint a detachment of Fourty foot, and Twenty Dragoons duely Commanded, To march to the Westren Coasts, and there to be under the direction of Captain Patrick Ogilvie. Upon the saids Westren Coasts, for the better enableing and assisting him to hinder the import of all Irish or other Forraigne victwall, Horse and other Cattle into this Kingdome att any pairt within the bounds of the saids Westren Coasts Specidied and contained in the Commission granted to him By the Lords of Privie Councill. And appoints and Ordains the said Detatchment of Fourty foot and twenty Dragouns duely Commanded as said is, To continue and remain in the saids Westren Coasts under the direction of the said Mr Patrick Ogilvie as said is ay and whyll they be recalled by the Councill, And the Councills furder orders theranent. They being there for the publict service.

Proclamation Adjourning the Parliament to the 22d of June

Proclamation adjourning the Parliament to the Twenty second day of June nixt Being read, the samen was votted approven signed ordered to be published printed and Recorded which was accordingly this day published. Whereof the tennor followes.
Ann By the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland, Defender of the faith. To our Lion King at arms and his Brethren Heraulds, Macers of our Privie Councill, Pursevants, Messengers at arms, Our Sherriffs in that pairt Conjunctlie and Seaverallie Speciallie Constitute Greetting. Forasmuchas our affaires doe require a furder Adjournment of our Parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland then to the first day of June nixt to come to which it was Last Adjourned. We are therefor Resolved to continue the said Adjournment to the Two and twentieth day of the said moneth, and firmly resolved our said Parliament shall meet on the said Two and twentyth day of June nixt, without furder delay, for the good ends for which we have Called it. Therefore and that the members of our said Parliament be not put to the trouble and charges of meetting upon the said first day of June. We with advice of the Lords of our Privie Councill, Have Adjourned and heirby Adjourns our said Current parliament from the first day of June nixt to come, To the said Two and Twentyth day of the samen moneth. Requireing heirby all the member thereof To attend the said day at Edinburgh in the usuall way and under the accustomed Certifications by Law appointed. Right trusty and right weell beloved Cousin and Councellor, Right trusty and enteirly beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors, Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trusty and well beloved Councellors, and trusty and well beloved Councellors Wee greet yow well Whereas our affaires do require a further Adjournment of our Parliament then to the first day of June nixt, to which it was last Adjourned: We are therefore Resolved to continue the said Adjournment to the Twenty two day of the said moneth: And that the members of Parliament may not be put to the trouble and Charges of meeting upon the said first of June. The Lord high Chancellor, Haveing represented to the Councill, That Captain Gordon Commander of Her Majesties Frigott, The Royall Mary, had taken ane France Frigot, and brought her up to the road of Leith, where she with her Crew are at present lying, The saids Lords of Her Majesties Privie Councill Doe heirby Appoint and ordaine, The Captaine and Livetennant of the said French Shipe taken by the said Captain Gordon, To be Comitted prisoners to the Tolbooth of Edinburgh, therein to remaine till furder orders, And gives order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of there Tolbooth to receave them prisoners and detaine them therein, And als gives order and warrand, and Commands and ordains the said Captain Gordon to bring the Crew of the said French shipe ashoar, And the one halfe therof to Comitt prisoners to the Tolbooth of Leith, and the other halfe prisoners in the Tolbooth of Cannongate, And for that effect Gives order and warrand, To the Magistrats of Leith and Cannongate and keepers of there Tolbooth, To receave them prisoners And to keep hold and detaine them in there respective Tolbooths till furder orders of Councill theranent, And Commands and ordains the Commandant for the tyme at Leith to furnish and provyde ane sufficient guard for transporting the Crew to the respective Tolbooths abovementioned, And appoints and ordains ilk ane of the said Crew, to have thrie shilling scots a day payed for there subsistance, And for that effect, Recomends to the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesties Thesaurie to see the same effectually payed.

Act Infavours of David Baillie

Anent the petition given in and presented to the Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill By David Baillie prisoner in the Castle of Blackness. Shewing That the petitioner is by reason of his long Confynment, and closs imprisonment for some time, reduced now to a very bad state of health, and has too much ground to be affrayed of a decay being much fallen away in his body, and seized with ane Extraordinary paine in his breast and stomach. And Therefore Craveing there Lordships to give orders for removeing the petitioner to any prison in Edinburgh where he may have the immediat and easie advice of Physitians. And the said petition Bears. The Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill Haveing considered the above petition given into them By David Baillie prisoner in the Castle of Blackness, And the samen Being read in there presence The saids Lords Have Appointed and Ordained, And heirby Appoints and ordains the petitioner to be transported from the Castle of Blackness to the Castle of Stirling upon Fryday nixt being the Tuelf instant, And for that effect Recommends to Livet Generall George Ramsay Commander in Cheiff of Her Majesties Forces within this Kingdome, To send ane sufficient partie of Her Majesties forces upon the day forsaid, To the Castle of Blackness duely Commanded To receave from the Governour of the said Castle the person of the said David Baillie And to transport him from the said Castle of Blackness to the Castle of Stirling. And gives order and warrand to the Governour of Blackness Castle, To delyver the person of the said David Baillie to the Command of the said partie to be sent by the said Livet Generall upon the said Tuelf day of May instant, And to the Governour of the Castle of Stirling, and in his absence to the nixt Commanding officer there To receave the person of the said David Baillie from the said Commander and to detaine him prisoner in the said Castle till furder orders of the Councill thereanent.
