Proclamation Adjourning the Parliament to the 22d of June
Proclamation adjourning the Parliament to the Twenty second day of June nixt Being read, the samen was votted approven signed ordered to be published printed and Recorded which was accordingly this day published. Whereof the tennor followes.
Ann By the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland, Defender of the faith. To our Lion King at arms and his Brethren Heraulds, Macers of our Privie Councill, Pursevants, Messengers at arms, Our Sherriffs in that pairt Conjunctlie and Seaverallie Speciallie Constitute Greetting. Forasmuchas our affaires doe require a furder Adjournment of our Parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland then to the first day of June nixt to come to which it was Last Adjourned. We are therefor Resolved to continue the said Adjournment to the Two and twentieth day of the said moneth, and firmly resolved our said Parliament shall meet on the said Two and twentyth day of June nixt, without furder delay, for the good ends for which we have Called it. Therefore and that the members of our said Parliament be not put to the trouble and charges of meetting upon the said first day of June. We with advice of the Lords of our Privie Councill, Have Adjourned and heirby Adjourns our said Current parliament from the first day of June nixt to come, To the said Two and Twentyth day of the samen moneth. Requireing heirby all the member thereof To attend the said day at Edinburgh in the usuall way and under the accustomed Certifications by Law appointed. Our Will is Heirfore And we charge yow strictly and Command. That in continent thir our Letters seen ye pass To the mercat Cross of Edinburgh, and to the mercat Crosses of the haill remanent head burghs of the severall shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient Kingdome. And there in our name and authority by open proclamation make publict intimation, That our said Parliament is Adjourned to the said Two and Twentieth day of June next to come And ordains thir presents to be printed and published Given under our signet Att Edinburgh the Thirtieth day of May And of our Rigne the Thrid year, 1704.
