Committee for Examining the magistrats of Edinburgh and Captain Stevensone anent Baillie prisoner

The Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Nominat and appoint The Earle of Glasgow, The Lord Advocat, Livt Generall Ramsay and the provest of Edinburgh To be a Committee to call for the magistrats of Edinburgh and Captaine […] Stevensone Commander of their Guard and Examine and Enquyre at them how and by vertue of what warrant They took upon them to carry doun David Baillie prisoner from the Tolbuith to the Tron upon the Captains Right hand for the Company and suffered and permitted him to tear from his breast The paper appointed by act of Councill to be put theron and why the Magistrats of Edinburgh Did not goe their in persone and see the act of Councill appointing the said David Baillie to be sett on the tron put to due Execution and punctually obeyed And Recommends to the said Committee to meet to morrow morning at Ten aclock in the foirnoon and declaires any Two aquorum And to Report.
