Letter from The Queen To The Councill
Letter from the Queens Majestie To the Councill for Adjourning the parliament to the fourth of May nixt Read and ordered to be recorded Sic Supra subscribitur Anne Regina
Right Trusty and right weell beloved Cousin and Councellor Right trusty and enteirly beloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trusty and weell beloved Councellors And trusty and weell beloved Councellors Wee greet yow weell Wheras the present state of our affaires does not requyre the meeting of our Parliament of that our ancient Kingdome so soon as the fourth day of Apprill nixt to which it was last adjourned We are therfore Resolved to continue the said Adjournment to the Fourth day of May nixt And that the members of Parliament may not be put to the trouble and chairges of meeting upon the said fourth day of Apprill It is our will and pleasure and we heirby Authorize and Require yow to Isue furth a proclamation in our name Adjourning our said Current Parliament from the said fourth day of Apprill nixt to the said fourth day of May thereafter and ordering all the Members thereof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usuall manner and under the accustomed Certefications For doeing wherof This shall be your warrant And soe we bid yow heartily fairwell Given Att our Court Att St James’s the tuenty thrid day of March 1703/4 And of our Rigne the 3d year By Her Majesties Command sic subscribtiur Queensberry.
