Warrant

Warrand for liberating Captain John Livingstoun furth of the Castle of Edinburgh

Captain John Livingstoun Being called. The Lords of Her Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Give order and warrand to the Deputie Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh and nixt Commanding officer there Immediately to sett the person of the said Captain John Livingstoun at Liberty furth of the said Castle of England Upon his giveing Bond and finding sufficient Caution acted in the Books of privie Councill, That he shall depairt furth of this Kingdome Betuixt and the first day of September nixt to come And shall not return therto without Her Majestie or the Councills warrand for that effect. And that he shall confyne himselfe to this syde of the watter of Forth, and shall not exceed the bounds of his said Confynment, under the penalty of One Thousand merks: And alse that he shall in the mean tyme live peaceablie under and with all submission to Her Majesties present Government, And that he shall not act Consult nor contryve any thing to the prejudice thereof. Nor converse nor Correspond with any of Her Majesties Rebells, And that under the penaltie forsaid. In case he transgress any pairt of the premisses.
