Commission under his Majesties Great Seal of this Kingdom, In favours of James Duke of Queensberry, Lord privy Seal, To Represent his Majesties Sacred person and Royall authority in this Eight Session of his Majesties Current Parliament Read and ordered to be Recorded in the Books of privy Councill, wherof the tenor follows.

Warrant Anent Coach-Houses and Stables To the Lord high Chancelor

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby give order To and Command John Hamilton, Baillie Deput to her Grace the Dutches of Hamiltoun within the Abbay of Halyroodhouse To cause furnish the Earle of Marchmont Lord high Chancellor of Scotland with such Coach-houses and Stables as his Lordship shall pitch upon and Choice and that out of such Coach-houses and Stables as are possest by any persones not being in the Service of the Government at present, And To Require and See the Persones who possesses the same presently, Enter the said Lord high Chancellor to such of them as he shall Require possession off, And in caice they shall Refuse or delay when Required Then ordaines and appointes the said John Hamiltoun Baillie Deput forsaid To cause Brake open the doors of the saids Coach-houses and Stables, And To Enter The said Lord high Chancellor to the peaceable possession2 of the same, providing they be within the precinct of the said Abbay of Halyroodhouse, And Allowes the said Lord high Chancellor To Continue in the possession of the same, during the haill tyme of this Ensweing Session of Parliament.

Order To the magistrats of Edinburgh anent the Parliament Closs, The Kirk doors, and Guard house

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Having considered the Difficulty and the Straitness of the passadge or Entry from the high Street To the Parliament closs by Reason of the great heaps of rubish That are lying therin They heirby Require and ordain The magistrats of Edinburgh To cause make clean the said common passadge or Entry from the high Street into the said Parliament Closs, betwixt and the Twenty First day of May Instant, That the Parliament meet, and that they cause make the same alse wyde and large as conveniently can be done, and That the Stones upon the Left hand of the said passage or Entry be so orderly and securely built up, That the Rubish may be Kept up, from Falling down and all hazard prevented to such as go along that way And Appointes the saids magistrats To cause the fore and back doors both of the new and old Churches To be kept constantly open from morning to night during the Session of Parliament for the greater Conveniency of the members of Parliament To goe and come To and from the Parliament house, And also Requires and ordaines the saids magistrats That they cause provide the Stables for the horse-Guards in the Land-mercat alse near the Lucken-booths as can be done Conveniently And That the saids Magistrats Take care The mercat upon the Wednesday be so ordered and the merchants stands so disposed off towards the Sydes of the Streets, That open Room may be kept upon the midle of the Street for Two Coaches at least to pass in a Breast together, and that the saids magistrats see the forsaids orders duely and tymeously performed.

Right Trusty And Right welbeloved Cousin and Councellor, Right trusty and Entirely beloved Cousin and Councellor, Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councellors, Right trusty and welbeloved Councellors. and Trusty and welbeloved Councellors, We greet yow well. Whereas we understand, That the nynth day of this current moneth is appointed for Executing the Sentence the Sentence of death against John Frazer of Migavie and Hugh Frazer of Leucloyn, And They having Supplicated for our Royall mercy and Represented their circumstances to be Suck as deserve the same, We are Resolved that the Sentence of death Shall not be put to Execution against them untill we have fully Considered the said Sentence and State of that affair, We do Therfore hereby authorize and Require yow to Grant a further Reprive to the saids John and Hugh Frazers till the Twenty day of November next. Whereas we understand, That the nynth day of this current moneth is appointed for Executing the Sentence the Sentence of death against John Frazer of Migavie and Hugh Frazer of Leucloyn, And They having Supplicated for our Royall mercy and Represented their circumstances to be Suck as deserve the same, We are Resolved that the Sentence of death Shall not be put to Execution against them untill we have fully Considered the said Sentence and State of that affair, We do Therfore hereby authorize and Require yow to Grant a further Reprive to the saids John and Hugh Frazers till the Twenty day of November next. For doing whereof This Shall be yowr Warrant. Given att our Court at Hampton-Court the second day of May i700 And of our Reign the Twelfth year. Warrand To the Lord Advocat To deliver Samuell Hannay to any Flanders officer

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby allow and give full power and warrand to Sir James Stewart of Goodtrees his Majesties Advocat To deliver the person of Samuell Hannay presently prisoner in the Tolbooth of Edinburgh To any of his Majesties officers going for Flanders, To Serve as a Souldier under the said officer, His Majesties said Advocat always first before Extracting hereof produceing 2 the Clerks of privy Councill a Consent under the said Samuell Hannay his own hand That he consents to his Banishment forth of his majesties Dominions, And oblidges himself to depairt forth therof and never to Return therto without his Majesties or the Councills warrant for that Effect under the pain of death.
