Warrand Taking off the Duke of Gordons Confynement

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill In obedience to his Majesties Letter direct to them of the date The First day of Aprile last bypast, Doe heirby take off any Confynement which lyes upon George Duke of Gordon, and declares him quite therof and free therfrae in all tyme coming, The said Duke First before Extracting heirof giving Bond and finding Sufficient caution acted in the books of privy Councill That he shall live peaceably under and with all Submission to the present Government of his Majesty King William, And That he shall not act Consult nor Contrive any thing in prejudice thereof, and That he shall not Converse or Correspond with any Rebells, And That he shall appear before the Lords of his majesties privy Councill whenever he shall be called or Required for that Effect, under the penalty of Two Thousand pound Sterling Contained in his former Band, In caice he Shall fail or transgress in any pairt of the premises.

Proclamation for Adjourning the Parliament

The following Proclamation for adjourning the Parliament, Being Immediatly prepared was Read approven and Signed and ordered to be Recorded whereof the Tenor Follows.
William By the Grace of God King of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith, To our Lyon King att armes and his Bretheren heraulds, Macers of our privy Council pursevants, Messengers att armes our Sheriffs in that pairt Conjunctly and Severaly Specialy Constitute Greeting. Forasmuchas. Notwithstanding we were firmly Resolved our parliament should meet, on the fourteenth day of May Instant, yet we understanding That a Short adjournment is necessary to the Effect That all members concerned may be in Readiness, Therfore we with advice of the Lords of our privy Councill, Have Resolved To Continue the Adjournment of our said Parliament from the said fourteenth day 2 To the Twenty first of the forsaid Moneth of May, at which day we are firmly Resolved our Parliament shall meet, And That the members of our said Parliament be not put to unnecessar Trouble and Charges, before that tyme, We do heirby with advice forsaid Continue the Adjournment of our said Parliament, from the said fourteenth To the said Twenty first day of May Current, ordaining and Requireing all the members of our said Parliament to attend precisely that day att Edinburgh in the usual way and under the Certificationes Contained in the severall acts of Parliament made thereanent. Our Will is Heirfore And we Charge yow Strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat Cross of Edinburgh and to the mercat crosses of the Remanent head-Burghs of the several shyres and Stewartries of this our ancient Kingdom, and Their by open proclamation, make Intimation of the premises that none pretend Ignorance And ordains thir presents to be printed. The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby give order and warrant To the commander in cheiff for the tyme being, To cause that part of the Regiment of foot commanded by Colonel Colzier which are upon their march from Inverness, To Remain and be quartered with the rest of the same Regiment upon this side of Forth water, till furder order, And to cause that Regiment of foot under the command of Colonel Row, To march from Fyfe, and be quartered at the Towns of Dundee and Montrose, and places Adjacent thereto, And to Remain thereat till furder order.

Act To the Lord Strathnaver to quarter his Regiment at Innerness

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recomend to the Lord Strathnaver To cause march that Regiment of his Majesties foot forces wherof he is Colonell from the places where they now ly, To the Town of Inverness, And to cause quarter them att the said Town, And likeways Recomends to the said Lord Strathnaver, And gives order to the comander of his Said Regiment, when they shall come to Invernes, To send the number of Twenty men under Sufficient officers, out of the said Regiment To Remain att and be quartered upon the water of Moriestoune, and at the Passes thereof, For the security of the Countrey Benorth the water of Ness, And to cause these Twenty men and officers to be releived from tyme to tyme as the said Colonel or Commandant shall shink fitt.

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recomend to the Lord Strathnaver To cause march that Regiment of his Majesties foot forces wherof he is Colonell from the places where they now ly, To the Town of Inverness, And to cause quarter them att the said Town, And likeways Recomends to the said Lord Strathnaver, And gives order to the comander of his Said Regiment, when they shall come to Invernes, To send the number of Twenty men under Sufficient officers, out of the said Regiment To Remain att and be quartered upon the water of Moriestoune, and at the Passes thereof, For the security of the Countrey Benorth the water of Ness, And to cause these Twenty men and officers to be releived from tyme to tyme as the said Colonel or Commandant shall shink fitt.
