Act To the Lord Strathnaver to quarter his Regiment at Innerness
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recomend to the Lord Strathnaver To cause march that Regiment of his Majesties foot forces wherof he is Colonell from the places where they now ly, To the Town of Inverness, And to cause quarter them att the said Town, And likeways Recomends to the said Lord Strathnaver, And gives order to the comander of his Said Regiment, when they shall come to Invernes, To send the number of Twenty men under Sufficient officers, out of the said Regiment To Remain att and be quartered upon the water of Moriestoune, and at the Passes thereof, For the security of the Countrey Benorth the water of Ness, And to cause these Twenty men and officers to be releived from tyme to tyme as the said Colonel or Commandant shall shink fitt.
