Commission by the Council
Warrant Nameing the officers for commanding the Highland Garrisons
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill by their former warrant appointed Three detachments Each consisting of Twenty centinells for guarding Southward from Kinichclacher in Rannoch where there is already a detachment of Twenty men with a Subaltern out of Colonell Fergusones Regiment by order of Councill, And That the places for the saids Three detachments formerly appointed were one at Innervolochill upon Lochdochalt the Second at Kilmaluig in the head of Monteith a Third at Drummon in the Lennox, The saids Lords heirby nominates and Appoints the persones following To command at the respective places forsaids. Viz for Innervolochill Livetennent William Campbell in Colonel Rows Regiment of fuziliers Att Kilmaluig Livetennent James Stewart in Colonel Hamiltons Regiment and att Drummond in the Lennox, Ensigne Thomas Drummond, Ensign Colonell, To Colonell Ferguson, And nominates And Appoints Captain McQueen in Colonel Colziers Regiment, To command the forsaid Three Detatchments in place of Captan Alexander Campbell formerly named To Command the Same, And Recomends To the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury To cause furnish To the saids detachments Sufficient quantities of ammunition as their Lordships shall Find needful or convenient.
