Comittee Anent Bailie Edie and Bailie Chancellor
Bailie David Adie in Aberdeen who hes been att France And become Apostat having according to his Bale given to the magistrats of Aberdeen Appeared at the Councill Barr, The Councill Recomends To the Lord president of Councill, The Lord Forbes The Lords Advocate, Thesaurer Deput and Justice-Clerk, To meet Immediatly after the Councill rises, And To call for and Examine the said Bailie Adie, upon Such points and Intirrogators as their Lordships shall think fitt, With power To the said Committee, To Committ the said Bailie prisoner or put him under Baile or Inactment as they shall find convenient, And declares any Three of the said Committee to be a Sufficient quorum, And The Councill Recomends to the above Committee to meet to morrow at Ten in the forenoon, And To Examine Bailie John Chancellor who is a papist and has lately been att France, upon such points and Interrogators as they shall find convenient And To make their Report to the Councill with there conveniency And declares the quorum to be as above appointed, And Appoints the macers of privy Councill To cite the said Bailie Chancellor To attend the said Committee in the Committee Room To morrow at Ten in the forenoon.
