Act The Earle of Marr, anent the Bridge of Tillibody

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of his majesties privy Councill be John Earle of Marr Shewing That wher ther was ane act of parliament past on the Seventein day of September Jaj vic Eightie one years, appointing for the Causes therin contained ane Small Custome to Exacted and uplifted from all passengers travelling allongst the bridge of Tillibody in maner underwrittin Viz too pennies each footman, and every horse and Load four pennies, and every horss and ridder, six pennies And the Same to Continue for the Space of Nyntein years as ane printed double of the said act therewith produced would testifie, And Seing that the said Space of Nyntein years was near elapsed and that ther was ane Arch of the said bridge rebuilt last year which with the former reparations hade altogither exhausted the Custome uplifted be vertue of the said act, and ther was another Arch of the said bridge Which most be presently repaired Otherwayes in a Litle time it would goe to utter ruin And Therfore Supplicating the saids Lords to the efect aftermentioned The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Haveing Considered this petition given in to them by the Earle of Marr with a printed Coppie of the act of parliament mentioned therin and produced therwith They doe hereby Continue the above Small Imposition or Custome to be exacted from all passingers passing the said bridge of Tillibody Viz Two pennies for each footman and every horss and Load four pennies, and every horss and ryder six pennies and that for the space of Nyntein years Commenceing the Said time from the entruning or expyreing of the Nyntein years Contained in the forsaid Act of parliament Viz from the Nyntein day of September one thousand seven hundred yeirs, and have Authorized and hereby authorizes the said John Earle of Marr to appoint and nominat Collectors for uplifting the said Imposition or Custome, And to see the Soumes Collected by vertue of this act applyed towards the repairing and upholding of the said bridge of Tillibodie
