Recommendation To the Lord high Chancellor To write To Brigadier Maitland anent Glengerie

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recommend To the Lord high Chancellor, To write To Brigadier Maitland Governour att Fortwilliam, Requireing him To Speak with McDonald of Glengarie And Enquire at him what he means by his Building in that Island wherein the Castle of Innergerie Stands, In Respect the said Castle was and is Garrisoned, for his Majesties Service, And That the Building will render the Castle useless and the Garrison therein for his Majesties Service, And To Returne ane Answer To the Lord high Chancellor.
