Warrant

Warrand For Imprisoning the Duke of Gordon

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recommend To the Earle of Leven Constable and Governor of the Castle of Edinburgh And in his Absence Gives order and warrant To the next commanding officer their, To Receave the person of George Duke of Gordon prisoner into the said Castle, And To detain him therein In Respect of his Expressiones uttered at the Councill Barr this day And for a petition presented by the said Duke To the Councill at the same tyme, And Recomends To his Majesties Advocate To Intent and prosecute a proces at his Instance before the Lords of his majesties privy Councill, for the Expressiones contained in the said petition and uttered at the Councill Barr, And ordains the said Duke of of² Gordon To Enter his person in prison in the said Castle once this day, Betwixt and Eight of the Clock att night.
