Order

Mr William Dunlop and John Alexander craving a nationall Fast

Mr William Dunlope principall of the Colledge of Glasgow and John Alexander of Blackhouse a ruling Elder having Represented to the Councill That they were commanded by the Generall Assembly, To attend their Lordships and Crave their Civil sanction for a day to be observed as a Solemn fast In respect of the bold and unseasonable weather and present scarcity and dearth etc. The Councill Recomended to his Majesties Advocate To prepare a proclamation for a solemn national fast to be observed throughout this Kingdom upon the nynth day of March next, And to present the same to the Councill at their next meeting.
