Commission by the Council

Act Adding Grant younger of Freuchie to the Commissioners of Justiciary for secureing the peace of the highlands

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby nominate and Appoint Alexander Grant younger of Freuchie To be one of the Commissioners of his majesties Justiciary for secureing the peace of the highlands, And Adds him to the Commissioners named in his Majesties Commission, with power to him to sitt vote act and doe with the other members mentioned in the said Commission. Sicklike and alse freely as the saids Commissioners might have done themselves And as if the said Laird of Freuchie younger hade been named by his majestie In the Body of the said Commission, The said Laird of Freuchie younger, first before he Enter upon or Exercise the said office of a Commissioner of Justiciary, for securing the peace of the highlands, Swearing and Signing the oath of Alledgance to his Majestie, And also Signeing the Assurance and Associatione to his Majesty as appointed by the acts of parliament made thereanent.
