Reprive To John McTavish and Hugh Frazer
Anent The Petition given in to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill By John McTavish of Miggavie and Hugh Frazer of Leadcloin prisoners in the Tolbooth of Edinburgh. Shewing That whereas His Majesty having been graciously pleased so far to take notice of the Petitioners Circumstances as to ordain the Process and Sentence pronunced against them to be transmitted to his Majesty That he might declare his royall will and pleasure anent them, Their Lordships thereupon were pleased to grant them a Reprive untill the […] day of Aprile Instant which Being now near Expyred and his Majesties Royall pleasure anent them not yett made Known. They humbly Implore their Lordships Goodness for a Continuation of the said Reprive untill his Majesty declare his Royall will and pleasure anent them or such Competent tyme as their Lordships Shall Think fitt to determine As the said Petition bears. The Saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill having Considered the within Petition given in to them by the within John McTavish and Hugh Frazer. They heirby Reprive the Petitioners from the Sentence of death pronunced against them by the Lords Commissioners of his majesties Justiciary untill the nynth day of May next to come Inclusive, And ordains the magistrats of Edinburgh To see the said sentence of death pronunced against the petitioners to be put to punctuall Execution against them upon the Tenth day of the said moneth of May next to come without furder delay.
