Warrant

Warrant To the magistrats of Edinburgh anent yesternights Rable

His Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby give order and warrand To And Appointes the Magistrats of Edinburgh To Keep their ordinary Guard at the Guard-house of Edinburgh, And To Cause Chain open the port of the Neither-Bow, That it may not Close, And To cause beat a Bank Throw the Town of Edinburgh, That none be Found upon the Streets after Ten at night, And ordaines the saids magistrats To take Security of the Inhabitants That their servants and apprentizes Keep within doors, under the pain of being lyable for all the Consequences of their being abroad after nyne at night, And Appointes the magistrats of Edinburgh To attend the Committee of Councill appointed anent the Rable att Four in the Afternoon For giving Information theranent, And to Bring with them any who can give Information in the said matter.
