Decreet
Interloquitor In Favours of the Affrican Company
His Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Having seen and Considered the Copies of the Act of Parliament, and Patent above sett down and Compared the same with the Principall, Doe attest That the saids Coppies are True and Exact Coppies of the said Act and Patent and Conform to the Principalls which are True and authentick, And That therfore the saids Coppies ought to make Faith as probative Documents every where, both in Judgement and outwith the same, And Because Sir Francis Scott of Thirlestone, In behalf of the Court of Directors of the Company trading to Africa and the Indies, Craved That might Furder please his Grace and their Lorships, To Take the oathes and depositiones of the persones undernamed, for a farder attestation and verification of the premises, and That the act and Patent abovementioned might Every where be Receaved as duely attested and undoubtedly authentick and Probative Documents, His Grace and Their Lordships Granted the forsaid Desyre.
