Letter from the King for Adjourning the Parliament
The Letter underwritten from the King To the Councill, Being read was ordered to be Recorded, wherof the Tenor Follows

Right trusty and right welbeloved Cousin and Councillor. right trusty and Entirely beloved Cousin and Councellor, Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councellors, Right Trusty and welbeloved Councellors, and Trusty and welbeloved Councellors. we greet yow well. Whereas It may be convenient we Should hold the next Session of Parliament in Person: And Seing the present Juncture of our affairs will not allow of our going to that our Kingdom So soon as the fifth day of March next, To which our Parliament was last Adjourned, And we being positively Resolved That it Shall meet att the Fourteenth day of May next, It is Therfore our Royall will and pleasure, and we doe heirby authorize and Require yow, To Issue forth a Proclamation in our name, ordering a Continuance of the Adjournment of our Parliament from the said Fifth day of March To the said Fourteenth day of May next, And ordering all the members thereof To attend precisely that day at Edinburgh in the usual way and upon the accustomed Certificationes. For doing wherof This shall be your Warrant. And so we bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court at Kensington The Tenth day of January ane Thousand Seven Hundered years and of our Reign the Eleventh year. By his Majesties Command.
