Letter from the King to his Commissioner authorizeing and Empowring him to bear that Character during his Majesties pleasure

The Letter underwrittin from the King To his Commissioner Being Read was ordered to be Recorded wherof the tenor Follows
Sic Supra Scribitur William Rex
Right Trusty and Right Entirely beloved Cousin and Councellor We greet yow well, Whereas we are fully Satisfied with yowr Fitness and abilities To discharge That Trust we have reposed in yow as our Commissioner, And That it may be necessary for our affairs That yow Continue to Represent our person, notwithstanding of our Adjourning this Session of Parliament, We doe Therfore by these presents Authorize and Impower yow, To Act and Bear the Character of our Commissioner, And To Represent our Person alse fully in all Respects as yow have done since the Granting of our Commission to yow for that Effect, And That during our Pleasure, And untill we Shall Think fitt, To Recall these presents, For doing wherof this shall be yowr Warrant; And so we bid yow heartily farewell, Given att our Court, at Hampton Court The Thirteenth day of June one Thousand Seven Hundered years, And of our Reign the Twelfth year, By his Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Seafield Quotted on the back Thus, To our Right Trusty and Entirely Beloved Cousin and Councellour, James Duke of Queensberry our Commissioner To our Parliament of our ancient Kingdom of Scotland.
The Above Letter Being Read was ordered to be Recorded in the Books of his Majesties privy Councill, and a Coppy thereof To be subscrived by the Lord high Chancellor to ly as the warrand For Recording the same, And the Principal was ordered to be delivered Back again To his Grace His Majesties high Commissioner, And which was accordingly done by Sir Gilbert Elliot Clerk.
