The Letter underwritten from the King To his Commissioner and Councill, anent his going to Holland, being Read, was ordered to be Recorded, whereof the Tenor Follows.

Right Trusty and right Entirely beloved Cousin and Councellor Right Trusty and Right welbeloved Cousin and Councellor, Right Trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councellors, Right Trusty and welbeloved Councellors, and Trusty and wellbeloved Councellors We greet yow well. Whereas The present circumstances of our affairs does necessarily Require our being in Holland for a Short tyme We have Therfore Thought fitt to acquaint yow therwith, And to Recomend to yow, That during our absence yow will give punctuall attendance, And to take care of the peace and quiet of that our Kingdom And of all our Concernes therin, And we do also Expect that from tyme to tyme, yow will give us accounts of what occurrs, That we may give such orders as we Shall Find necessary, And not doubting of your Care and diligence in our Service, we bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court at Hampton Court, The Second day of July i700. And of our Reign the 12th year. By his Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Seafield.
