Recomendation To the Lord Advocat To draw a Proclamation anent a fast

The Lord high Chancellor Having acquainted the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, That severall ministers members of the Generall assembly, Having in the Assemblies name attended his Lordship And addressed the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, That they wold be pleased to Interpone their authority To ane act of the Generall assembly appointing a nationall Fast and humiliation to be keeped within this Kingdom for the reasones and Causes mentioned in the said act, The saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby Recommend To Sir James Stewart his Majesties Advocat, To prepare the Draught of a Proclamation of Councill appointing the last Thursday of march Being the Twenty Eight day of the said moneth To be observed as the day appointed for the said solemn Fast and Humiliation for the reasones and Causes mentioned in the said act And appointing the said act of the assembly to be printed with the said Proclamation and the said Proclamation or Coppies thereof To be sent to the Ministers of all the parish Churches within this Kingdom to be Intimat by them upon the Lords day Immediatly preceeding the forsaid day appointed for the forsaid Fast, And To present the same to the Councill To be Signed by them att their first meeting on Twesday next.
