Patrick Johnston present Provost of Edinburgh who was Elected att Michaelmess last, Being called and having appeared he Swore and Signed the Oath of Alledgance, and assurance to his Majesty, and Signed the associatione appointed to his Majesty be act of Parliament, And The Lord Chancellor haveing administrate the oath de fideli to him, He was admitted and Receaved a privy Councellor, Conform to his Majesties Commission of the Twenty First of October J^aj vi^c nynty Eight years appointing the Provost of Edinburgh for the tyme being to be one of his Majesties privy Councill.
