Committee for Considering publick Occurrences During the Ensuing vaccancie

His Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby nominat and appoint The Earles of Argyle, Morton, Lauderdale, Lothian, Leven and Annandale, Lord Viscount of Tarbat, Lord Carmichaell Lord Secretary, Lords President of Session, Advocat, Thesaurer Deput and Crosrigg, Laird of Stevensone, and the Provost of Edinburgh To be a Committee for considering of publick occurrences And for Secureing the Peace during this present vaccance of Councill, with power to them in caice they see it necessary To Cause Call a meeting of the Councill Att any tyme they shall Think Fitt, To Signify to his Majesties high Commissioner or the Lord high Chancellor, If they See Fitt, That a Councill be Called, And declares any Five of the above Committy, To be a Sufficient quorum, And Recommends to them to meet from tyme to tyme, as they shall See occasion or Find Convenient, And declares That If any other Councellor or Councellors Shall meet with the above Committy, They shall be marked as of their number and be Sufficient to make up a quorum.
