Warrant to the Lord Rae to Seize some persones

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby appoint the Lord Rae to take and secure the persones of these whose names Sir James Stewart his Majesties advocat shall give in as the murderers of the Lubikeer who was killed upon the Coast of Assint in Caithness For which this shall be the said Lord Rae and all others concerned a sufficient warrant.

Committie for Considering the instructions anent the Captains for the Highlands

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby appoint and Nominat the Earle of Marr, The Viscount of Tarbat Viscount of Teviot Lord Advocat Lord Aberurchill and the Lord Phesdoe To be a Committie to Consider his Majesties Letter to the Councill anent the two Companies for attending the Highland Commission and to prepair instructions to be given to the Captains and other officers of the said Companies and to present the same to the Councill against their meetting this afternoon And Recommends to the said Committie to meet at thrie this afternoon The Councill being to meet at four of the same; And Declares any thrie of the said Committie to be a sufficient quorum.

The Earle of Southerland who by his Majesties Letter to the Councill Last Sederunt Is appointed to be received a privy Councillor being present this day and haveing Sworn the oath of alledgance and Signed the same with the assurance and association And the Lord high Chancelor haveing administrat to him the oath de fideli his Lordship was received a privy Councillor in the termes of his Majesties Letter and took his place at the board accordingly.

Proclamation For Adjourning the parliament to the Sixth November nixt

The proclamation in the termes of the said Leter being instantly prapared, was read and Signed and apointed to be published, wherof the tenor followes.
William by the Grace of God King of Great Brittaine France and Ireland defender of the faith To our Lyon King at armes and his bretheren heraulds Macers of our privy Councill, pursevants messingers at armes our Shirriffs in that part Conjunctllie and Severallie Constitute Greeting Forasmuchas Wee by our proclamation of the date the thrid day of May last by past did adjourne this curent parliament to the Seventh day of August instant And wheras the present State of our affairs doe not requyre the meeting of our said parliament so soon as the day to which the same was adjourned And that the members of our said parliament may not be put to unnecessary trouble and charges Therfore Wee with advyse of the Lords of our privy Councill Doe hereby Continue the adjournment of our said present parliament from the said seventh day of August instant untill the Sixth day of November nixt to come, And wee with advyse forsaid doe hereby Requyre all the members of our said parliament to attend at Edinburgh the Said Sixth day of November in the usuall way and maner and under the Certificatione Contained in the Severall acts of parliament made theranent Our Will is Heirfore and wee Charge yow Strictly and Command That incontinent these our Letters Seen, yee pass to the marcat cross of Edinburgh and to the marcat crosses of the remanent head burghes of the Severall Shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient kingdome and therat in our name and authority make Lawfull intimation That our Said parliament is adjourned to the said Sixth day of November nixt to come; And Ordaines these presents to be printed and published Given under our Signet at Edinburgh the Second day of August and of our reigne the Threteinth year 170i Sic Subscribitur.
