Letter from the King, for adjourning the parliament to the 6th of November 1701
Letter from his Majestie to the Councill for adjourning the parliament from the Seventh day of August instant to the Sixth day of November nixt to come read and ordered to be recorded Wherof the tenor followes.

Right Trustie and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and right weell beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and weell beloved Cousins and Councillors, Right trustie and weell beloved Councillors and trustie and weell beloved Councillors; Wee Greet yow well; Wheras the present postur of our affairs does not requyre the meeting of our parliament on the Seventh of August nixt to which it was Last adjourned That the members may not be put to unnecessarie attendance; It is our Will and pleasure; And Wee hereby Authorize and Require yow to Issue furth a proclamation in our name adjourning our Current parliament from the Said Seventh of August nixt to the Sixth of November ensueing; And ordering all the members to attend that day in the usuall place and upon the accustomed Certifications, For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant So wee bid yow heartily farewell Given at our Court at Loo the 25th July 1701 and of our reigne the 13th year.
