Protection in favours of Mr William Gordon of Baliemie

Anent a petition given in to the Lords of His Majesties privie Councill By Mr William Gordon of Baliemie Advocat Humblie Shewing That the petitioner haveing conveened Sir William Hope deput Governour of the Castell of Edinburgh before their Lordships As also the said Sir William had ceited the supplicant wpon Letters of Reconvention who could not attend by reason of the dilligences the said Sir William had bought in against him And by the hounding out of his other personall Creditors Therfore Craveing To the effect under wrytten As the said petition bears The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill havenig considered the above petition given in to them by the said Mr William Gordon They heirby Grant personall protection to the petitioner untill Thursday the tuenty seventhday of Febrwary instant inclusive And Discharges all Macers Messingers at armes or other officers within bwrgh or Landward To putt and Letters of Caption acts of warding or other personall dilligence in execution against the petitioner~~s~~ untill the said day exepting always His Majesties rents and publict dues sic subscribitur Marchmont cancellar Lauderdale Ruthven James Stewart CCampbell JHope Ludovick Grant Robert Sinclair Pattrick Johnston
