Warrant

Warrant to the postmaster generall to delyver two Brussills Letters seized by him

Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat verbally Represented to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill That the postmaster generall hade given in to his Lordship two Letters from Brussells written in French which have the Cross upon the back of them and which were inclosed in a Cover to the said postmaster which he was surprized with; And after that his Lordship has perused and read the Same Letters He Finds That they are of no value but only about privat Bussines, And Therfore did order them to be delyvered to these to whom they are direct And his Lordship ordered the saids Letters to be read or perused by any of the privy Councill; And the saids Lords Ordained and allowed the saids Letters to be delyvered by the said postmaster To these whom they are directed.
