Act John Mitchell anent Hatts

Anent the petition given in and presented to the Lords of His Majesties privie Councill by John Mitchell Merchant in Edinburgh Shewing That the petitioner haveing commissioned three and ane half2 Dozon of Hatts at London and accordingly bought before the tuenty nynt day of Janwary last and shipped before the first of Febrwary also last as appears by the Bill of Loadning shouen to the saids Lords And which goods cam home in a ship belonging to James Law upon the third of March instant which goods the petitioner being now to enter The tacksman refuse to receave the samen as being prohibit by the late act of parliment And Therfore Craveing to the effect aftermentioned As the said petition bears The Lords of His Majesties privie Councill haveing considered the above petition given into them by the above John Mitchell with the Bill of Loadning mentioned therin and produced therwith They heirby give order and warrand to the Tacksment of Her Majesties Customes their Collectors Clerks surveyers waiters and other servants to suffer the said petitioner to enter the above three Dozen and ane half of Hatts the petitioner paying the ordinary duty therefore
