Act Ogilvie of Forglen

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill be Alexander Ogilvie of Forglen Shewing That wher his majestie by his patent under his Royall hand dated the twenty fourth day of June Last by past was pleased to conferr upon the petitioner the title of Knight Barronett Which patent was appointed to pass under his Majesties great Seall; But because it did not bear the usuall warrand to the director of the Chancellory to exped the said 2 patent Nor the Chancelor to cause append the great seall therto as was usuall in such patents as pass the same per saltum; And that the director Scruples to wryt out the Same and the keeper of the great seall to append the same 3 without the saids Lords Speciall warrand hade And Therfore Humbly Supplicating the saids Lords to the effect aftermentioned. The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Haveing Considered this petition given in to them by the above Alexander Ogilvie of Forglen They hereby Grant the desire therof; And Gives warrand to the director of the Chancellary to wryt out the said patent And to the Lord high Chancellor and to the keeper of his Majesties great seall to append the Same therto per Saltum in the usuall manner.
