Letter from the King anent the Talledoux
The Letter underwritten from the King to the Councill being Read was ordered to be Recorded wherof the tenor follows

Right Trusty and right welbeloved Cousin and Councillor, Right trusty and Entirely beloved Cousin and Councillor, Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councillors, Right trusty and welbeloved Councillors, and trusty and welbeloved Councillors, Wee greet yow well, Wee have Receaved a full account of your proceedings against the authors and Contrivers of that Seditious Talledoux lately discovered, Wee do Approve of all that yow have done in the prosecution therof, and wee return yow our hearty thanks for the care and Zeall yow have Showen upon this occasion And as it plainly appears That the design of the authors and Contrivers of the forsaid Talledoux, hes been to misrepresent and reflect upon the proceedings of our parliament, and tending to lessen the authority therof, and raise Sedition among our good Subjects, And it being So necessary for the Support of our Government and the Security and peace of that our Kingdom that Such pernicious practices Should be discouraged, Wee do therfore Epect that yow will order such as are already discovered or shall be discovered to be the Authors and Contrivers of the Said Talledoux to be vigorously proseucte according to law, to deterr others from attempting the like for the future, And not doubting of yowr care and dilligence heirin, Wee bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court att Kensington the Twenty Eight day of march i70i, and of our Reign the 12th year, By his Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Seafield.
