Letter from the King to the Councill for stoping one hunder and Sixty recruites for Compleating the regiments out of which the draughts were taken read and ordered to be Recorded wherof the tenor followes. Sic Supra Scribitur

Right Trustie and right2 weell beloved Cousin and Councillour Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousin and Councillour Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councillours Right trustie and well beloved Councillours and trustie and well beloved Councillours Wee Greet yow weell Wheras wee have hade under our consideration a new establishment of the forces of that our kingdome but the interveening of Severall Important affairs has hindred us from fully adjusting the same; And wee being resolved that in the mean time the saids forces shall not exceed thrie thousand nor the funds that are destinat for their Mantinance Wee doe therfore Authorize and require yow to give orders for Stoping One hundred and Sixty of the recruits to be Levid for Compleating the Regiment out of which the late draughts were taken and incaice the saids regiments are already Compleated; yow are to give orders for disbanding with all expedition the forsaid number of one hundred and Sixty men, For doeing wherof this shall be your warrant And so wee bid yow heartily fareweell Given at our Court at Kensingtoune 30th day of May 1701 and of our Reigne the 13th year (3By his Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur Seafeild.
