Warrant

Warrant to the Lord Whythill to be a Commissioner of Supply within the Shyre of Mid-Lothian

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby Nominat and appoint Sir James Scougall of Whithill one of the Senators of the Colledge of Justice to be a Commissioner of Supply within the Shyre of Mid-Lothian; with full power to him to sitt act vote Consult and doe sicklyke and alse freely in all respects as any other Commissioner of Supply within this kingdome have done or may doe And as if he hade been nominat a Commissioner within the said shyre by act of parliament And appoints the said Sir James Scougall at his first meetting with the saids Commissioners to qualifie himself by swearing and signeing the oath of alledgance and subscrybeing the assurance and association conforme to the act of parliament.
