Procedure

Recommendation To The Earle of Leven to make Thomson and Auchmuty Close prisoners in the Castle of Edinburgh

The Lords of His Majestys privy Councill do heirby Recommend to the Earle of Leven Constable and Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh, To receave in and Committ Closs prisoners in the said Castle in Seperat roumes the persons of Mr John Thomson under Clerk to the African Company and Charles Auchmuty one under Servant to the Said Company as persons accused of wicked and pernicious practises against the Honour and dignity of the Estates of Parliament and the peace and quiet of the Kingdom and government therof, and that untill furder order.
