The Lords Advocat and Thesaurer deput having Represented to the Lords of His majestys privy Councill, That the Letter ordered by their Lordships (written from the late Earle of Melfort to the Earle of Perth) to have been reprinted by His majestys printer was selling throw the Streets of Edinburgh reprinted Verbatim from the Coppy printed at London, and not by the Kings printer and that it doth not Contain the Privy Councills warrand given for reprinting thereof, And that the printers of the same were one John Reid and […] Jaffrey printers, whom the Magistrats of Edinburgh hes put under Bale, The saids Lords do heirby ordain the said John Reid and […] Jaffray printers to attend their Lordships with their Bales at their next meeting upon Thursday, And appoints the macers of Privy Councill to cite and warn all the other printers to appear before the Privy Councill the said day, and appoints the saids macers to cite and wairn […] Wardlaw and John Portends Booksellers in Edinburgh who gave in the said Letter to be reprinted, to attend the Councill upon the Fourth day of March next being the day Eight days, and appoints the magistrats of Edinburgh to cause Shutt up the printing houses of the Saids John Reid and […] Jaffray, and appoints them to continue So till farder order of Councill.
