Warrand for Grassing the Forces att Langtoun

Anent The Representation made be the Commissaries of the army given in to the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Mentioning That the Commander in cheiff being Desireous That the haill hose may be grassed together for the Ensueing Season which cannot be conveniently any where but att Lantoun Parks although It be the dearest Grass in the Kingdom, The Commissaries for the Conveniency of the Forces are willing to Comply If their Lordships authorize it, Also oats being at this tyme bygone above the Kings allowance (beside the Hey) They Request to be allowed to Import what they need for the use of the Forces not Exceeding one Thousand Bolls free of duty. The Saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby authorize The Commissaries for Forrageing the army To Comply with the desyre of Major Generall George Ramsay Commander in cheiff of his Majesties forces within this Kingdom for the tyme To have the hail horses of his Majesties Forces grassed att Langtoune, And It having gone to the vote whither the Commissaries of the army should be allowed to Import In Respect of the present dearth of Oats for the use of his Majesties Forces what oats or beans they need not Exceeding on Thousand Bolls free of duty, I or no, It was carried in the negative and the Importing discharged.
